The Hill Cottage, located in Saulia on Achill Island boasts a wonderful panoramic view far across beautiful mountains and a sea estuary.
It offers 65 square metres of living space, 2 bedrooms with twin beds, a 3-seater sleeping couch, bathroom with shower & bathtub, fully equipped kitchen with open plan living room, fireplace and stove and a simple garden.
The cottage was lovingly renovated just a few years ago and is ideal for families, couples or friends holidays including pets.
The sunsets and forever changing weather scenarios are legendary and never cease to fascinate.

Achill Island, at 146 km², is the largest island off the Irish mainland and accessible by bridge
It is located halfway up the west Atlantic side, easily recognisable on all maps by its distinctive pistol shape,
facing west towards the open sea.
Achill Island and with its approximately 2600 inhabitants and belongs to the county of Mayo. It is connected to the mainland via the approx. 100 metre long Michael Davitt Bridge.
Around 87% of the 146km² island is covered with peat bogs. Achill is not only home to Keem Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches/bays in Europe, Heinrich Böll (famous German writer) also fell in love with the tranquillity, country and people in 1954 and wrote his Nobel prize-winning “Irish Diary” there.
The American painter and teacher Robert Henri also lived on Achill Island from 1910-1919, where he painted a whole series of world-famous portraits of the local population. The island with its beautiful landscape was used several times as a backdrop for international film productions such as “My Sailor, My Love” and most recently the recent award-winning film “The Banshees of Inisherin” starring Colin Farrell.
In addition to various pubs and restaurants, Achill also has a many small shops, a post office, a Supervalu market and a bank branch. The nearest towns are Newport, Westport and Castlebar.
Achill Island has an ocean climate. Throughout the year, often strong winds blow across the island with frequent and rapidly changing weather.

- Aquarium & Museum: "The Achill Experience" shows local underwater species from blue lobsters to sharks, as well as replicas of historic houses and documentary films.
- Irish American Whiskey Distillery: Get a private tour at this Irish owned and family run whiskey distillery, right in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way on Achill Island.
